People With Parkinson’s Are A Lot Younger Than You May Think
As people across Australia, and the world, host events to mark World Parkinson's Day - April 11 – organisers have taken the opportunity to highlight just how young the disease can strike.
Pause 4 Parkinson's encourages companies and people to stop, pause and direct their focus to Parkinson’s, a complex disease that impacts more than 80,000 Australians.
One Australian is diagnosed with the disease every 45 minutes - 25% of those are under the age of 50.
US Actor Michael J Fox was just 29 when he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s.
Supporters around Australia are supporting #Pause4Parkinsons by hosting events and raising funds for Parkinson's research.
There's still time to get involved by registering to host an event this April or by showing your support by making a donation.
