Police Declare Emergency Situation As Negotiators Step In

Queensland police have declared an emergency situation in Caboolture, closing nearby streets as negotiators step in.
Officers were first called to the McMillan Street residence following reports of a man causing disturbance at 6.15am this morning.

A Public Safety Preservation Act was declared just after 8am, with an exclusion zone set up to include Hodgkin Street, O’Neill Street, McMillan Street and Davison Street.
According to Police, the man is currently alone inside a house and refusing to come out.
It is believed he may have access to household weapons such as knives they revealed to The Courier Mail.
They say there is no further information available at this time.
