Police Release Pic Of Man In Relation To One Punch Incident

UPDATE 11/10/16 2:00PM: 

Queensland police and released a photo of a man that they believe can assist in the South Brisbane 'one punch' incident that occurred over the weekend. 

It is now alleged that the two men were known to each other, however the exact relationship has not been released. 


"Preliminary information suggests at around 10.15am a man had been walking along Melbourne Street when he crossed paths with another man who was jogging in the opposite direction," the QPS Media statement read.

"The pair have exchanged words in passing and one man has then turned and struck the victim on the head with his fist. The 48-year-old man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition who later died of his injuries.

"He is described as around 170cm, muscular build, black hair and aged in his late thirtys. He was wearing black shorts with a red shirt tucked into them and white running shoes."

A shirtless jogger and a man he's accused of killing with a single punch near a South Brisbane pub knew each other, police say.

Queensland Police are hunting for the jogger who attacked Timothy Lang on Saturday morning.

The 48-year-old died in a Brisbane hospital on Monday when his life support was turned off.

Police have established the two men knew each other, but have not said how.


A man who was allegedly the victim of a one-punch attack on a Brisbane street has died.

A Princess Alexandra Hospital spokesman confirmed the 48-year-old Timothy Lang's death on Monday afternoon.

The man had been on life support since Saturday after being punched by another man following an "exchange of words" on a South Brisbane street.

Police have released CCTV footage of the male jogger they want to speak with which was captured as he walked past the Fox Hotel.

They have appealed for witnesses to the incident that took place around 10.15am in Melbourne St.

The jogger is described as about 170cm tall, with short dark hair and shirtless, but wearing black running shorts with a red top tucked in to the waistband.
