Prison Officer Sacked After Giving Inmate A Valentine's Card
A female prison officer at Parklea Correction Centre in Sydney has lost her job it was discovered she was involved in an alleged relationship with a male inmate.
It's understood the prisoner had photos the part time model in her bikini up on his cell wall.
Tara Brooks, 33, was fired when prison management became aware of her 'inappropriate relationship' with a 41-year-old male inmate.
Daily Mail Australia reports an investigation began after tracing a Valentine's Day card she had sent to the inmate led back to her.
They also discovered Ms Brooks' mobile phone number written on a piece of paper found in the inmate's cell.
It's alleged the couple had been speaking regularly on the phone.
The prisoner is understood to be serving time in relation to drugs charges.
A spokesperson for NSW Corrective Services said:
'A 33-year-old correctional officer at Parklea Correctional Centre has been charged with having an inappropriate relationship with an inmate,'
'The operator of the facility has since terminated the woman's employment.'
