Measles Alert In Brisbane After Young Child Diagnosed
An infant boy has been diagnosed with measles in Brisbane.
If you have visited Runcorn Plaza Family Medical Practice on Tuesday 27 February, Westfield North Lakes on Thursday 1 March, Runcorn Family Medical Practice or Lady Cilento Children's Hospital on Friday 2 March be wary if any symptoms arise.
"The initial symptoms of measles include: fever, lethargy, runny nose, moist cough and sore and red eyes," Queensland Health state.
"This is followed a few days later by a blotchy, red rash which often starts on the face and then becomes widespread over the body."
