RACQ Have Rescued More Than 600 Kids From Cars This Year
More than 600 children have been rescued from locked cars in Queensland in the first six months of this year.
Most incidents were caused by children being given a set of keys to play with and pressing the automatic lock button, peak motoring group the RACQ says.
"There's never a safe time to leave a child unattended in a car. Temperatures can soar to above 40 degrees in just minutes," RACQ spokeswoman Lauren Ritchie said in a statement.
