See The Winter Wonderland Pics Taken In AUSTRALIA This Week
It's been forecast all week and we didn't really believe it was going to happen.
Well it has.
Australia's southern ski slopes have been gifted with really heavy snow across Friday and Saturday and parts of Melbourne and Sydney have even got a dusting of the white stuff themselves!
All the snow has been caused by the most powerful cold front to hit south-eastern Australia in three years.
Lifts will be turning tomorrow Tank Hill, Magic Carpet & Hut Run to tower 2. 30-35cm has fallen since yesterday and lift tickets will be at WEEKDAY PRICES. Adult lift tickets just $50 and children $35. We have the toboggan parks open, cross country ski trails open, so it's all go go go...... so start your school holidays in the best way possible @mtbawbaw #mtbawbaw #alpineadventuresoclose
Even Victoria's beach town Lorne got hit by snow, with surfers not really sure how to react to their town being covered with snow!
Another one taken by one of our Parks Victoria Rangers today because it's just so beautiful. Don't forget to slow down and watch other traffic and slippery roads in these conditions. Enjoy!!!#winterwonderland #iamtheotways #wintergetaway #visitgreatoceanroad #snow #visitmelbourne #australia #lorne #apollobay #greatoceanroad #nationalpark ❄️❄️❄️
The weather isn't likely to get much better with Melbourne only getting to 13 degrees on Saturday, before dipping back to 12 for 4 days straight next week.
Sydney will start to see temperatures pick up on Tuesday, with a high of 18 predicted but until then, it will not get above 16 degrees.
Wrap up warm this weekend!
