Shark Snapped In South-East “Lake” Just Metres From Kids

Well here’s a story that will scare you from the water!

While we all know that there’s a chance of sharks swimming around our canals and rivers, it’s not often you see the proof.

However, one Gold Coast mother has managed to snap just that as her two children played just metres away.

Captured lurking in the water nearby their home on Swan Lake at Burleigh, the 1.5 metre bull shark’s fin could be clearly seen.

It is believed the shark swam through a series of canals to reach the “lake” where kids have been known to swim.

As water temperatures increase over the summer, shark activity also increases.

The Gold Coast Bulletin reports that last more than 140 bull sharks were caught during a fishing competition in the Logan River.
