The Hollywood Film Set To Send Brisbane Into Traffic Chaos
Always fancied yourself a movie star? Well now might be your chance to get on the big screen!
If you can get past security that is…
Brisbane is about to get its own taste of Hollywood’s greatest superhero, with filming for the latest Thor flick to shut down the CBD next week.
From Monday, some of Brisbane’s busiest streets will be shut down to film scenes for Creature Report the rumoured working title for Thor: Ragnarok.
The four day shoot will see Mary Street, Albert Street, Margaret Street and the Margaret Street off-ramp (from the Pacific Motorway) closed off.
According to The Courier Mail, businesses have been warned of the plans in a letter from producers.
The controversial move will see shutdowns begin this week and continue till August 26.
Local businesses have had mixed reactions to the plan with excitement over the potential star spotting.
However, some have pointed out the potential impact it will have with customers unable to access businesses.
And of course the potential traffic chaos it will cause on inner-city commuters.
Either way, the chance to see/rub shoulders with Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Sir Anthony Hopkins may ease the pain ever so slightly…
