The Guard Shot By Las Vegas Gunman Has Disappeared

He was the man that reportedly was shot before alerting authorities to the whereabouts of gunman Stephen Paddock on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

He was hailed a hero, but now Jesus Campos has allegedly gone missing just days before he was scheduled to appear on a range of US news media outlets.

President of the Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America Union, David Hickey, said he disappeared from a Las Vegas hotel late last week and has not been in contact.

America's biggest massacre saw 58 lives lost and over 500 injured before Paddock turned the gun on himself.

"We have had no contact with him [Campos]. ... Clearly, somebody knows where he is," Hickey said.

Campos allegedly disappeared while Hickey was in a meeting with MGM representatives - who own the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

A security guard that was hired by MGM and a union member were reportedly with Campos in another area of the hotel suite but when Hickey emerged from his meeting, he was no where to be seen.

"When I got in touch with the other union member, I was told Campos was taken to the Quick Care health clinic," Hickey said.

He has not been heard from since and the clinic have allegedly claimed that he never visited.

The media were then informed that Campos would not be available for any of the scheduled interviews.

This latest updates adds to the ever-changing timeline of what happened on that fateful day of the mass shooting.

Differing accounts have clouded the timeline of when Campos received the gunshot wound to the leg.

Initially authorities believed he was shot after Paddock had fired out into the crowd, however later reports suggest he was actually shot before the concert began.

The reasoning for why Campos was on the same floor as Paddock have also been questioned.
