There’s A New Hollywood Blockbuster Being Filmed In Brisbane
Last year we all went a little loopy when Thor came to town to film around Brisbane’s CBD.
And fans who camped out alongside barricades were rewarded for their persistence with the likes of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston greeting fans and taking plenty of selfies.
Now we’re getting the chance to once again witness a bit of Hollywood magic!
This weekend parts of the CBD will be shut down for filming of the new sci-fi film Pacific Rim: Uprising.
Starring Scott Eastwood (Clint Eastwood’s son and the dreamboat from The Longest Ride) and John Boyega (the heartthrob from Star Wars: The Force Awakens), this is one flick we’d definitely recommend camping out for!
Filming is expected to see a large part of the Eagle Street Pier precinct shutdown to traffic from 5am to 8pm Saturday. It’s likely to be repeated the following weekend.
For all those already planning on braving the heat to check it out, these are the streets closed to traffic – aka the perfect spot for some star spotting.
Eagle Street between Charlotte Street and Wharf Street
Creek Street between Charlotte Street and Wharf Street
Elizabeth Street between Creek Street and Eagle Street
Queen Street between Creek Street and Adelaide Street
Happy star spotting!
