Three-Year-Old Girl Dies From Gunshot Wound In Sydney's West

A three-year-old girl has died from a gunshot wound to her neck in Sydney's west.

Officers were called to the property on Danny Road in Lalor Park just after 8pm on Sunday following reports of shots, where they found the toddler.

According to news.com.au, witnesses heard a man yelling "she's dead", with the Sydney Morning Herald adding that the same man was seen sitting in a gutter outside the home, rocking back and forth.

He was then filmed being taken into a police van, crying, while a woman was led into an ambulance.

Witnesses report the woman screaming: "I hate you, f*ck you, I hate you... not my baby girl, not my baby girl."

"We saw there was chaos and we thought one of the neighbours were in trouble and we went to help," a neighbour told 9News. "There was people running around and crying."

It's believed there were three other children in the home at the time of the shooting.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation has been launched into the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
