Toddler Dies After Drowning In Backyard Inflatable Pool

A two-year-old boy has died in hospital after becoming submerged in a backyard pool north of Brisbane.

Paramedics performed CPR on the child after the incident, reportedly in an inflatable pool, at Morayfield on Tuesday afternoon.

He was rushed to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in a critical condition but died on Wednesday morning, police said.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.

Meanwhile, a young girl is in a stable condition at Robina Hospital after nearly drowning in a pool at Varsity Lakes on Wednesday morning.
