Two Teens Charged Over Axe Attack In QLD Fast Food Carpark
A man has been attacked with an axe at a fast-food restaurant at Logan, south of Brisbane.
The victim, 23, was with a group when a verbal fight broke out with others in the car park of the Marsden business just before 2am on Sunday.
"Around 1.45am the 23-year-old victim was with a group in the carpark of a fast food restaurant on Chambers Flat Road when they became involved in a verbal altercation with another group," the police report states.
"When the man attempted to leave with the group it will be alleged he was struck in the back of the head by a member of the other group with what is believed to be an axe.
"As a result of the attack the man sustained two large lacerations to the head causing him to fall onto the ground.
"The injured man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
"An 18-year-old Beenleigh man has been charged with one count each of common assault and affray. He is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on April 24.
"An 18-year-old Bethania woman has been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm and affray. She is expected to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 1."
When the man went to leave, he was struck twice in the head with an axe, leaving him with deep gashes.
A man and a woman, both 18, have been charged, with the man recovering in hospital.
