Victorian Wedding Completely Washed Out By Rain

In case you hadn't heard, Victoria has been hit with some SERIOUS rainfall over the last week and for one couple, their Wedding was completely washed out.

This couple's happy day was set to be held on Saturday at Euroa Butter Factory however, the wedding had to be cancelled after more than 150mm of rain battered the State and inundated the town's roads.

Speaking to 9NEWS, the owner of the popular wedding venue, Russell Griffin, said that the wedding had to be called off with fears for the wellbeing of guests and staff.

"They [guests and staff] couldn't get in and out of the town," he said.

To make things worse, the wedding was planned for 85 people and was completely vegan, with meal preparations taking months to organise.

The event is hoped to be re-scheduled in the near future but the couple will certainly have to face additional costs for items that they had to cancel.

The wedding venue are calling for anyone willing to help out by donating things like flowers or a vegan cake in order to help the couple have the dream wedding that they were hoping for.

Severe weather warnings remain in place for some areas of Victoria with the threat of floods still imminent, however, the worst of the storms are said to have passed.
