Why You Need To Be Extra Cautious On The Roads Today

Crash data has revealed this Friday is statistically the most dangerous day of the year on Queensland roads.

Peak motoring body RACQ has analysed more than 72,000 crashes to determine Friday is the most common day of the week, and the 18th is the most common day of the month, for accidents.

"It's the perfect storm," RACQ spokeswoman Kristy Clinton said.

Between January 2015 to February 2018, around 200 more crashes were recorded on a Friday (10,804) than second-ranked Thursday (10,605).

Sunday had the least number of crashes with 9887.
