Not So Futuristic

The hotly anticipated iPhone 5 has been unveiled after months of speculation over whether it would be bigger, smaller, lighter, thinner and so on.

Well according to Apple the new phone, which will be available to buy from next Friday, is 18 per cent thinner, 20 per cent lighter and has a larger screen (now 4 inches).

While we have to admit the iPhone has revolutionised the phone industry, we want to know what ever happened to the futuristic inventions promised to us in the movies?

Sure a mobile's handy, but what about a shoe phone... and while tunnel's are helping to make our commute faster, what ever happened to flying cars?!!

In commemoration and commiseration we've collected some of our all time favourite TV and movie inventions that we wish someone would make.
