Since their debut in 2000 Coldplay have taken the world by storm with album sales in excess of 55 million and a slew of nominations and awards, including picking up their seventh Brit Award for Best British Group at this year’s ceremony.

With the release of their fifth studio album, Mylo Xyloto, Coldplay have experienced their greatest success to date in Australia with the album achieving double platinum sales. “We can't wait to get back to Australia this November. It's such a special place for us. These venues are pretty huge, the Aussie crowds are always incredible and we'll be bringing everything we've got. It's going to be big" said Chris Martin.

Warning: this video may hurt your ears...]]> Mon, 20 Feb 2012 13:08:50 GMT <![CDATA[Whitney Houston - Laid to Rest.]]> Whitney Houston’s ex-husband Bobby Brown left her funeral after an alleged bust-up with a family member.
The ‘My Prerogative’ singer arrived at the service at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday (18.02.12) and walked up to her coffin and lovingly touched it.
Bobby was accompanied by an entourage of nine people who he wanted to sit with him in the family section of the congregation.
When he was told this wasn’t acceptable and they would have to be seated elsewhere he angrily stormed out with his group.

However, Bobby – whose 18-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina was sat directly behind her mother’s coffin with her grandmother Cissy Houston – later returned to the Baptist church on his own and was seen entering through a side-door.

Many of Whitney’s family have blamed Bobby – whose tumultuous 14-year marriage to the ‘My Love Is Your Love’ singer ended in divorce in April 2007 – for getting Whitney hooked on drugs. Her death on February 11 is believed to have been caused by a lethal mix of alcohol and prescription pills.

The funeral was led by the Pastor Joe Carter, while Whitney’s cousin Dionne Warwick introduced the speakers and musical performances.

Mourners included Kevin Costner, Clive Davis, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Brandy and Jennifer Hudson.

Houston ruled as pop music's queen during the eighties, with a majestic voice and regal stature until  her public downfall due to drugs and who tumultuous marriage to Bobby Brown 

From the middle 1980s to the late 1990s, she was one of the world's best-selling artists. She wowed audiences with effortless, powerful, and peerless vocals that were rooted in the black church but made palatable to the masses with a pop sheen.

Her success carried her beyond music to movies, where she starred in hits such as The Bodyguard and Waiting to Exhale. We we always remember her being carried out by Kevin Costner from that crowded concert. 

She was the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston, the cousin of 1960s pop diva Dionne Warwick and the goddaughter of Aretha Franklin.
