Active play is important for mental wellbeing and physical development but today's kids are simply not playing enough.

The recent State of Play study commissioned by the MILO team revealed that almost half of Aussie kids aged 8-12 years are not playing every day.

In response to this worrying news, the MILO team is creating the Play Movement designed to encourage kids and parents play together each and every day.

The State of Play is an extensive study commissioned by the MILO team to understand views of parents, grandparents and children about play and its role in kids' lives across Australia and New Zealand.

It was conducted by independent research agency in November 2011.
