Annastacia Palaszczuk Gets Behind "In Your Corner"

Malcolm Turnbull has written to school principals across the country urging them to stamp out bullying to keep children safe.

The prime minister is calling on schools to sign up to the National Day of Action  Against Bullying and Violence, on March 16.

Bianca, Terry and Bob along with Jeff Horn, have begun #inyourcorner - an instrumental tool to ensure that people know who are there for them - in their corner.

Someone who been with BTB from the start is QLD Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

Speaking to BTB on 973FM, Ms Palaszczuk told them about the task force she is putting together.

"I can confirm with you that having met with the Prime Minister and the Premier's that there is uniform agreement to tackle this as a nation," she said.

"We want to stop another tragic consequence happening, not just in Queensland but across the nation. With modern technology the world is changing and we need to keep up with that change."

Ms Palaszczuk also had this message for YOU, our audience.

"Honestly, I want to thank all of your listeners out there for coming on board with this very important campaign because at the end of the day it's about stopping cyberbullying that's having a big impact on our kids right across Queensland."

The task force will be announced as soon as next week and will also call out for parents and children to participate.

Listen to Bianca, Terry and Bob on 973FM, weekdays from 5.30am.
