The Advice A Divorce Coach Thinks Everyone Should Know

Here’s a career we’re betting you’ve never heard of…

Divorce Coach.

And if you’re going through a split, there’s a very good reason why you should talk to one.

“My rates are cheaper than a lawyer,” Divorce Coach Carolyn Madden told us.

“It’s cheaper to talk to me and use me as a sounding board, instead of grumbling and whinging to the lawyer.”

She has a point. With lawyers’ rates in Australia ranging from $400-600 per hour, a ten minute grumble can quickly burn 100 of your precious dollars.

Having built a career in Human Resources, Carolyn discovered for herself just how costly divorce can be when her own marriage suddenly ended.

“I was totally blindsided,” she told us.

“So I was in shock, I was very angry.. my solicitor, I was saying to her ‘I don’t know what happened, I don’t know how this happened’.”

After meeting other women in the same position, she was inspired to help other divorcees navigate this tricky period and avoid the pitfalls so many get caught up in.

So what is her number one piece of advice for someone getting divorced?

“Get organised,” she told.

Listen below as she explains exactly what she means and tells us how she helps people through a divorce…
