This SIngle Mum's Home, Business Were All Lost In The Floods
Cyclone Debbie came and she conquered.
Some were lucky enough to be spared from the horrible damage.
Meanwhile others now face a long road ahead – whether it be fixing a few minor issues or completely rebuilding their house – and subsequently their life.
That’s when we were introduced to Natasha Bow.
Hailing from Cedar Creek, Natasha lost her house to flooding.
Not only that but the single mother’s mobile dog grooming business – her only source of income – was also flooded as well as her car and is rendered unusable.
The properties behind her house were also completely flooded and swept off their foundation.
None of it recoverable.
Natasha’s friend, Erin, made a plea to 97.3FM for help and while we cannot fix the damage or take away the pain and heartbreak, we certainly wanted to help.
“We made that promise that you’re going to be fine and we’re going to rebuild, and everything is going to be 200% better than what it ever has been and you deserve that,” Erin told Tash during our chat with them on Bianca, Terry and Bob.
“You are the most beautiful person that I know I n this whole entire world and everybody loves you.”
But it was Tash’s response that floored us.
“All I need is a hug from my friends, there you go, you’re just beautiful,” Tash told Erin.
We couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of all the help in the world after she diplomatically explained her situation.
“I haven’t cried for anything I’ve lost, I’ve only cried for how much people are beautiful,” she continued.
“It’s hard to accept all the help, it’s overwhelming.
“I haven’t lost everything, I’ve still got my friends and my family.”
And that she does.
So far, a GoFundMe page has raised $5,290 in three days, which goes to show how amazing people are.
The radio station is also contributing $1,000 to help get them one step closer to being able to replace her car and pet grooming business and get back on her feet.
Jeans West have also come to the party, donating a $250 voucher so that she can take her two children to buy some new clothes.

We wish Natasha all the best and hope that she can rebuild better and stronger.
She certainly deserves it!
