Vance Joy Reveals Who REALLY Wrote About Michelle first

Vance Joy has come along way since his AFL days.

The now 30-year-old can add Aussie support act for Taylor Swift to his resume, as well as a string of hit songs including the smash hit, Riptide.

However, it's not only these things that have made the Aussie famous. His reference to actress Michelle Pfeiffer has also given him worldwide attention.

Speaking to Bianca, Terry and Bob on 973FM, Vance set the record straight about who really sung about her first - Bruno Mars or Vance Joy.

"I actually saw an interview with Michelle Pfeiffer on the Graham Norton Show and he said 'how does it feel to have yourself referenced in songs - ya know Uptown Funk'", he said. "And she said, 'Well you know the first song that ever referenced me was Riptide by Vance Joy' and I was like, thank you Michelle Pfeiffer!"

Well you learn something new everyday!

Listen to Bianca, Terry and Bob on 973FM, weekdays from 5.30am.
