"What? You had a baby 3 weeks ago? OMG, I want to Bash You!"

"I think the day that we stop shaming women for any body shape is the day we all start to move forward."

Wise words from Bianca this morning.

Fat shaming, skinny shaming, bounce back shaming... it's all too common and so many of our listeners have been shamed because of the size of their body and that's not okay.

While some had the opportunity to respond or get the last word in, many don't and the lasting impact can be devastating.

One example that really resonated with us was the story of Faith who attended the travel agent with her three week old newborn.

Instead of complimenting Faith on being one of the lucky ones to regain her pre-baby body quite quickly, she was left in shock when the agent instead shamed her under a thinly veiled guise of a joke.

"She took a look at me and just said 'What? You had a baby three weeks ago? Oh my god, I want to bash you!'," Faith recalled.

We enlisted someone who is very aware of bounce back shaming and body image issues - fitness guru, Ashy Bines.

"It's heartbreaking, I feel like as mothers we already put so much pressure on ourselves to be the best mum that we can but of course we all go through our own battles with our bodies and there's so many changes that happen," Ashy said.

"I did bounce back fairly quickly [from childbirth] and I did cop a lot of crap for that - which is really hard.

"You're just trying to be the best mum that you can be - and I was healthy because i wanted the best for my baby, through breast milk and I wanted to feel good.

"It's really tough on mums these days."
