Boy Made To Stand On Street Holding ‘I’m A Bully Sign’
Bullying is a subject that is flying rampant throughout schools these days, especially in a day where cyber-bullying makes it hard to escape and far too often we hear tragic stories about the anguish that some kids are forced to endure.
The subject is tough enough to deal with when your child has become the subject of the torment, but what would you do if you found out that your own child was being the bully?
One parent from Florida over in the US, Michael Jager, found out that his 13-year-old son had become the school bully and was rightfully furious. He knew that he had to find a way to punish his son and teach him a lesson in order to stop him from continuing down this mean path.
And so Michael developed a unique and simple strategy. Embarrass his son and make him feel as small as the kids that he bullied.
Michael made a big sign that said ‘I’m a bully. Honk if you hate bullies’ and then made his son, Jacob, stand on the street for a couple of hours, as cars drove past. And of course, people did honk.
Michael spoke with Kyle and Jackie O, and while they applauded Michael for taking action in trying to teach his son a lesson, Jackie had to question whether using public humiliation, which could be considered bullying in itself, was the right way to go about it.
Kyle on the other hand thought that this form of unconventional punishment was spot on!
Find out exactly how the controversial punishment went down and if it actually succeeded in stopping Jacob from bullying in the video above!
