Keith Urban Says Big Little Lies 2 Plot Will Blow Our Minds

Keith Urban is a great friend of the Kyle and Jackie O show and we really love getting him on for a chat, but we reckon he must be getting sick of us asking the same question every time we interview him in recent times.

Without fail we always discuss Keith’s music and what not before moving on to more pressing questions…What on earth is happening with Big Little Lies season 2?!

It’s no secret that Jackie is a massive fan of the hit show that won Keith’s wife Nicole Kidman an Emmy for her role as Celeste Wright and so she always manages to sneak in a question when chatting with Keith to see if we can get any hints out of him about what to expect on the upcoming season.

“I know I always ask you this but Big Little Lies 2 is coming out soon and Meryl Streep is in it and you know how much of a fan I am of that series…have you seen any of it at this point?” asked Jackie.

Keith told us that he hadn’t seen full episodes but he had been lucky enough to get a behind the scenes look at the show while on set for filming.

“Not assembled or edited together,” said Keith. “I was on the set a few times and they were shooting different scenes.”

While Keith couldn’t give us a play by play about what to expect in each juicy episode of the upcoming second season of Big Little Lies, he did tell us that he knows a lot of information about the plot.

And well, if you thought that the second season couldn’t get any better than the dramatic first instalment we’ve got news for you because Keith told us that it is so good and it will pretty much blow out minds.

“I know more about the story than anything and I can’t wait to see it,” continued Keith. “Lianne Moriarty [the author of the original book] is just so gifted and a lot of the story lines that she’s created to this next season is just mind blowing.”

Oooohhh we can’t wait!! But unfortunately we do have to wait until 2019 when the series is finally released.

Keith didn’t go into anymore detail about the show but from the official synopsis we know that the cast members are going to be dealing with the repercussions of Perry’s murder at the end of season 1.

“The Golden Globe and Emmy-winning series is a subversive, darkly comedic drama, which will continue to explore the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility or marriage and, of course, the vicious ferocity of sound parenting.”

Meryl Streep is also joining the already star studded cast, including Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Zoe Kravitz and Alexander Skarsgard.
