Jennifer Lopez called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest to talk about her journey with hit show American Idol as well as her role on Ice Age. Listen to the interview below:
On Jennifer’s Idol Journey:
“When I signed on to ‘Idol’ I signed on to do it for one year, and I wound-up doing two years because I just fell so in love with the show and everybody there.” JLo admits she didn’t expect becoming ”so moved emotionally by working on the show and working with the contestants. It was such a lovely surprise in my life to do it, but even last year when I had to make the decision it was super tough to decide.” The mother revealed her children played a major role in here decision, “As the kids get a little bit bigger it started feeling like it was a lot and something had to give. Something has to give and that’s where I am right now.”
In the 4th installment of the Ice Age franchise Jennifer plays a Sabre-Tooth Tiger named Shira, and she gave us a little insight on her blossoming relationship with Diego in the film. “Dennis Leary plays Diego, he has been in it since the beginning, now he has his love interest. Right from the beginning they’re arguing and she doesn’t like him and whatever, but they have some things in common and by the end of it he shows her—which is what I really like about their whole story arc—is that he shows her what a family is, shows her that that is more important than anything, and you know I’m a sucker for that kind of stuff.”
Ice Age: Continental Drift came out in cinemas last week. Check out the trailer above and make sure to see it on the big screen!
