Heidi Sommer-Ball is Robin, Terry & Bob's resident counsellor.
My name is Heidi Sommer-Ball. I have a Post Graduate Diploma of Counselling. I am currently working in private practice at my home. My previous experience has been working for the government with the Department of Family Services, the Family Court and the Department of Child Safety.
I use narratives, person-centred and solution focused therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques. In simple terms this means my particular strengths are to be able to listen to a person's story, grasp what the essential issues are and then look towards strategies to create change.
I am an experienced Therapist who enjoys working with people who are experiencing challenges/difficulties in their relationships, families, parenting, career and issues relating to stress, anxiety, grief or crisis. This is my passion — “the worried world”, the everyday person dealing with something very challenging.
