Marvel fans everywhere sat ready and waiting after watching Avengers Endgame in cinemas in the hope that we would get that one last piece of footage in the usual post-credits scene.
But alas, we were all left a bit disappointed when the lights in the theatre came on and no little extra was shown.
Well listen up Marvel fans, because it seems like our prayers have actually been answered! According to an interview with Screen Rant, the head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, has reportedly confirmed that something extra is coming!
Mr Feige reportedly told that publication that Avengers Endgame will actually be returning to cinemas (which is exciting in itself) and that it will include never-before-seen footage!
“[It’s] not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theatres with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie,” he explained.
“If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend.”
The re-release of Endgame is set to come the weekend before Spider-Man: Far From Home hits cinemas on July 5, which is set to follow on from where Endgame left off.
So our guess is that the new little snippet will set up Tom Holland’s adventures as spidey.
The re-release will also allow the final Avengers film to maximise on it’s box office earnings and allow it to contest Avatar for the top spot.
When it was originally released at the end of April this year, Endgame reportedly raked in approximately $350 million in Australia and $1.2 billion worldwide, making it the second highest-grossing movie.
This is compared to Avatar which holds the number one spot, making $2.788 billion worldwide.
No information has been released yet about which cinemas Endgame will return to on June 28 but we’ll be sure to make the trip to wherever we need to when it’s released!
