“We always get a choice in how we see our challenges.”

Turia Pitt is an inspirational woman. Not only did she survive a sprawling grass fire that saw her trapped while competing in an ultramarathon, but she has used her journey and learnings and she rebuilt her entire life to educate and empower the next generation.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who supported me and my little book Good Selfie this week. This book has been two long years in the making and to finally see it live, and real and in people’s hands is pretty cool. I’ve put so much of myself into this, so to hear early feedback that it’s hitting a mark with you and your kids and your friends is pretty amazing. Special shout out to @angelamollard and @bec_sparrow for being incredible MCs at my launch events and for supporting me so much. It means a lot. And to this crew – @_fredachiu_ , @evi_o, @graciemcb and Kris, Amanda and Mel – thank you for helping me bring Good Selfie to life. Good Selfie is in book stores this week and available on my website right NOW. I hope you love it. Turia x #GoodSelfie

The new mum has written a book curiously titled “Good Selfie” which aims to teach teens and young adults strategies of how to deal with everything life throws at you and that you are so much more than an instagram feed.

We loved having her live in studio to pick her brains on how she goes about life, and how she navigated her way through hundreds of surgeries and struggles, and still always chooses to look at the positive side of life.

Refreshingly, the 31 year old admitted that she too has her down days, but she doesn’t let that frame of mind trap her.
