Looks like Carrie Underwood is going to be one hard working mumma after a dual announcement on her Instagram account declared that not only would she be heading on a massive tour for her new album, but she’s also pregnant with baby number two!
The superstar singer posted a lengthy video to her social account on Wednesday to share some information about her latest Album ‘Cry Pretty’ and upcoming tour when she added one more surprising piece of information.
Underwood and her professional hockey player husband Mike Fisher are “adding another fish” to their pond, with the singer pregnant with their second child!
The news comes just days after she was quoted as saying that at age 35 her and partner Mike Fisher had ‘missed the boat’ for a big family.
“I’m 35, so we may have missed our chance to have a big family,” Carrie told Redbook Magazine.
“We always talk about adoption and about doing it when our child or children are a little older.
“In the meantime, we’re lucky to be a part of organizations that help kids, because our focus right now in our lives is helping as many kids as possible.”
After talking about her music in her announcement, the ‘Jesus, Take The Wheel’ singer said that some fans might be wondering why she wasn’t going to tour until May 2019.
Well, to answer that question, the camera zoomed out to reveal a bunch of pink balloons above her head reading “baby”.
“Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond,” she said with a massive grin.
“This has just been a dream come true with album and baby news and all that stuff. We’re just so excited and glad you guys can share this with us and be a part of it. Love you guys!”
Carrie and Mike married in 2010 and they already share a son, three-year-old Isaiah.
In the announcement, Carrie made no direct mention of the sex of the new bub, but is it coincidence that the balloons and the singer’s outfit were both a baby pink colour? Hmm interesting…
Underwood recently was recuperating after a tumble on the steps of her Tennessee home that required 40-50 stitches on her face, as well as surgery for a broken wrist.
