This morning the entertainment world was rocked as it was reported that singer Demi Lovato had been hospitalised after an apparent heroin overdose.

According to TMZ, law enforcement officials confirmed that the 25-year-old had been transported from a home in Hollywood Hills on Tuesday to hospital. At the time her condition was not known.

Demi’s aunt Kerissa Dunn has since created a Twitter account with the specific purpose of informing everyone on how Demi is doing. In her first tweet she told the singer’s millions of fans that she was stable.

“Just made an account here to inform you all that Demi is stable,” the tweet read. “She has seen the amount of love for her on social media and wants to thank everybody for their support. I will continue to update you guys.”

A second tweet has since come through with Demi’s relative telling us that she is currently awake and responsive in hospital. She paired the tweet with the hashtag “#PrayForDemi”.

“Demi is awake and responsive. She’s stable. We can’t thank you all enough for the support! She is overwhelmed with it all,” she said.

Demi has openly discussed her issues with sobriety and substance abuse, including drugs and alcohol.

Until recently she had claimed to be sober for six years before releasing a song of the same name in 2018 admitting to a relapse.

Just as Demi’s aunt has asked, we will continue to keep her in our prayers and hope that she makes a full recovery.
