Julian Fellowes’ successful TV series ‘Downtown Abbey’ was previously adapted into a movie, making more than $230M! With the success of the first film, they have announced that we will be releasing a sequel later this year!

The original cast will also be returning, with fan favourites such as Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonnieville, Michelle Dockery, and a handful of new additions such as Hugh Dancy & Dominic West joining the cast!

The film’s producer, Gareth Neame commented on the sequel saying: “After a very challenging year with so many of us separated from family and friends, it is a huge comfort to think that better times are ahead and that next Christmas we will be reunited with the much-beloved characters of Downton Abbey.”

Production of the sequel started last week and the film will be released on December 22, 2021 (which is the perfect Christmas present for us!)
