Lady Gaga and Madonna’s years-long feud appears to be a thing of the past after the pop titans embraced one another at a 2019 Oscars afterparty on Sunday night.

As per Us Weekly, Mother Monster was the guest of honour at The Party, the annual post-Academy Awards gathering that Madonna co-hosts with her manager, Guy Oseary, and the two were seen embracing each other on the carpet with an eskimo kiss as Khia’s “My Neck, My Back (Lick It)” played in the background. In a viral shot making its way around social media, the two can also be seen next to one another on the floor as Madonna holds Gaga’s smiling face, giving us reassurance that their longtime beef is finally over.

Madge and Gaga’s rift started in 2011 when components of the former’s 1989 hit, “Express Yourself,” could be heard in Gaga’s single of that year, “Born This Way.” In 2012, Madonna added to those claims, telling ABC News that Mother Monster’s hit “feels reductive.” Years later in her 2017 Netflix doc, Gaga: Five Foot Two, the singer spilled on the controversy, saying, “I admired her always, and I still admire her no matter what she might think of me. . .Telling me you think I’m a piece of s**t through the media? It’s like a guy passing me a note through his friend.”
