Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer have moved to strike down rumours of their apparent, secret romance together.
The pair sent the internet into a bit of a frenzy at the end of May when, during the Friends reunion, they admitted that there had been a bit of electricity between them when playing Ross and Rachel.
But our real-life Ross and Rachel were destined to stay on a permanent break, with both admitting that they were never able to make it work.
Rumours began swirling after the special aired, with sources close to both actors reporting that the Schwimmer had flown across the US to pay a visit to Aniston in Los Angeles.
Talk of the couple got even hotter when they kept getting spotted out and about in public together
But, alas, those rumours are just that apparently. Rumours.
After persistent digging, badgering and questioning, representatives from both actors have moved to strike down our dreams of Ross and Rachel IRL.
The actors’ reps told HuffPost that the pair are nothing more than good friends despite all the “insider” claims and photos.
During the Friends reunion earlier this year, Schwimmer sent tongues wagging when he revealed that he had a crush on Aniston during the show’s original run.
“The first season I had a major crush on Jen,” Schwimmer said.
” I think we both, at some point, were crushing hard on each other but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.”
Folks, this is history’s greatest missed opportunity.
