Postpartum depression does not discriminate.

Jessica Rowe joined us in studio and admitted to overwhelming feelings of guilt when she realised she may be suffering from the mental illness after the birth of her two daughters.

Especially after undergoing IVF to fall pregnant and make the wish of parenthood a reality.

With the ever so common thought process of “what do I have to be depressed about!?”, Rowe said finally confiding in her husband that she may need help was the hardest conversation she’s ever had in her life.

Watch how she approached getting help and what advice she has to other mothers and families who may be suffering right now.

We also spoke to Jess about her new book “Diary Of A Crap Housewife” where she reclaims the #CrapHousewife and reminds mothers, parents, wives and people in general that we are all just out in the world doing the best that we can.

The perfectly curated Instagram feeds are not reality. Reality for more of us is more along the lines of occasionally setting off a fire alarm or having a fright that you just poisoned your family with the dinner you cooked…
