In a new documentary, the Duchess of Cambridge has admitted that she goes a bit over the top for her kids on their special day.

During the BBC special A Berry Royal Christmas, Kate Middleton had a candid conversation with baker Mary Berry and revealed that she has a rather relatable habit.

That is, that she usually stays up late the night before to make a cake before each child’s birthday.

“It’s become a bit of a tradition that I stay up until midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing and I make far too much,” said Kate.

“But I love it.”

The Duchess and her husband, Prince William, share three children together: Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 19 months.
