It was all girl power yesterday during Katy Perry’s performance in Australia yesterday; her first performance since announcing her pregnancy last week!
Katy stunned on stage in a sparkly pink outfit that showed off her beautiful baby bump at the T20 Women’s Cricket World Cup final on International Women’s Day in Melbourne.
Mid-performance, the 35-year-old singer took a moment to tell the crowd what sex she was hoping the baby would be.
Pausing after the first few lyrics of her hit song ‘Wide Awake’, Katy pointed to her baby bump and said, “I hope it’s a girl!”.

The crowd roared with applause and cheers in response as she jumped straight back into her performance.
The beautiful moment came during Katy’s second performance of the night. She had earlier opened the cricket match with hit songs ‘Roar’ and ‘Firework’ before returning to close the event with ‘Wide Awake’ and ‘Dark Horse’.
Katy announced that she was pregnant with her first baby with fiancee Orlando Bloom last week, showing off her baby bump in the music video for her new song ‘Never Worn White’. She later confirmed the exciting news once again in an Instagram Live with her fans.
We’re so excited for Katy and her growing family!
