With Married At First Sight well and truly over, we’re patiently waiting for our next reality TV guilty-pleasure to hit our screens, Love Island season 2.
While we know that the casting process has begun, we don’t know all too much about who or what to expect on the show’s second run in Australia.
But rumour has it that a familiar face will be heading into the Villa this year hoping for a second shot at love (or more like the fourth shot based on her track record on MAFS…).
New Idea are reporting that Married At First Sight star Jessika Power has been cast in Love Island, with a source claiming that producers think she’s “perfect” for the show.
“It’s true, Jess has been poached by producers. They think she’s the perfect fit of the show,” the insider reportedly told New Idea.
“She’s never far from the drama and has no problems partner swaggering – not to mention she is ratings gold!
“They’re still in the middle of casting and need to see how it will work with the other applicants, but the plans is to introducer Jess as an intruder halfway through to spice things up.”
While it’s just rumours at this stage, it certainly isn’t too far fetched to believe. Especially seeing as both shows are owner by Channel Nine, meaning she wouldn’t be breaking any contracts by participating in the show.
Jess has also just recently told her followers on Instagram that she would “100%” consider going on Love Island, while answering questions on her story.
“100% depending on where I was in my life and when the offer came up, I would do this show. But right now, we’ll just wait and see,” she said in the post.
As if one MAFS alum wasn’t enough for the show to take on, there are also reports that Jess is trying to get fellow cast member Ines Basic on the show too.
“They’re a two-for-one deal these days. It doesn’t feel like work when they’re doing it together,” the insider continued to tell New Idea.
We guess we’ll have to wait and see if these rumours have any truth to them.
Either way we couldn’t be anymore keen for Love Island to kick off again and to constantly have “I GOT A TEXT” and the Love Island theme song stuck in our heads.
