Has Maisie Williams just ruined Game of Thrones’ final season?

During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Maisie Williams spoke about her iconic character’s journey in the final season of the hugely popular HBO drama.

However, it wasn’t until the 21-year-old actress suffered a slip of the tongue that things started getting super awkward.

While chatting about her character, Arya Stark, she accidentally let it slip that she dies “in the second episode” – a massive spoiler for fans of the series.

“During shooting, the final days were really emotional saying goodbye to all of the cast,” she said.

“Because when I found out that Arya died in like the second episode, I was…”

Realising her mistake, Maisie Williams pressed her shaking hands over her mouth.

“Is this live?” the actor asked Fallon. “We can edit that!”

Overcome with emotion, the Game of Thrones actress ran offstage.

“Is she okay?” Fallon whispered to producers.

The audience was obviously left shaken and utterly confused… until the two of them returned to set.

“April Fools! We got you guys so bad!”

Despite it being April Fools day (and us totally disregarding that during the interview), the two managed to scare the absolute bejaysus out of us.

What can we say? They’re bloody good actors!

… So Arya’s not going to die, right? Please say she survives!

Nice one, Jimmy and Maisie.
