I love the “Oceans” franchise. The original with George Clooney and his collection of scallywags robbing three huge casinos in a single night, the not-as-good sequels that followed, the recent reboot ‘Ocean’s 8’ with Sandra Bullock at the helm, all brilliant.
That’s why I’m BEYOND EXCITED to learn there’s a new ‘Oceans’ movie in the works, this time starring Margot Robbie. Variety is reporting it will be set far from the bright lights of Las Vegas in 1960’s Europe. Jay Roach (Bombshell) will direct with Carrie Solomon working on the screenplay.
The film is currently in development with Warner Bros. and, if greenlit, will be scheduled to start production in Spring 2023.
