Disney have been doing a lot of live-action remakes recently but there aren’t enough tissues in the world to prepare us for the latest one that they want to remake.

Following in the footsteps of films like The Lion King and Aladdin getting the live-action treatment, it’s now being reported that Bambi is going to be remade too.

Like we said, not enough tissues in the world…

Bambi is one of Disney’s OG films, being originally released back in 1942. And in case you weren’t traumatised by this film as a kid like we are, it’s all about a baby deer finding his way in the forest after his mother was killed by a hunter.

Just imagine how much sadder this is going to be in live-action?! Seriously Disney have mercy!

Of course they won’t actually be using real animals to film it. Disney will likely use a similar photorealistic style to Lady and the Tramp and The Lion King which used CGI to create an incredibly life-like character.

As for the details, according to Entertainment Weekly, the script is being written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Lindsay Beer.

No release date has been confirmed yet so looks like we’ll have some time to mentally prepare for this one.
