A pair of notorious Russian pranksters have released audio of what they claim is a phone call with Prince Harry, in which he spoke candidly with them after being tricked into thinking he was speaking to Greta Thunberg and her father.
The pranksters, Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov, known as Govan and Lexus, allege that they spoke with Harry on the phone at his home on Vancouver Island, Canada during two occasions, on News Years Eve and on January 22.
In the calls the pair posed as teenage activist Greta Thunberg and her father, talking to the Duke of Sussex about climate change.
Audio of the alleged call was posted to Youtube before being deleted yesterday. However, news.com.au have managed to secure the audio from the call and they have found a short Youtube clip that is still up online.
Prince Harry has not addressed whether it was actually him in the phone call but it certainly sounds remarkably like him.
Here is a snippet of what the man, alleged to be Prince Harry, says in the call in regards to climate change and US President Donald Trump:
“The mere fact that Donald Trump is pushing the coal industry so big in America, he has blood on his hands, because the effect that that has on the climate and on the island nations far far away, again out of sight, out of mind, but we’ve visited those places and I’m sure you have as well,” the person who is allegedly Prince Harry says.
“People’s lives have been completely destroyed. People are dying every single month by some form of natural disaster that has been created from this huge change in our climate.
“So again we have to almost physically shake these people and get them to realise that not only are they stealing from your future, which you’ve said over and over again, which I applaud you for, but also that they are directly responsible for actually killing people and wiping out whole communities.”
“And now I’m confident that within the next five to ten years things will change. But we can’t wait five or ten years. So I think if Donald Trump can become the president of the United States then anything’s possible right.”
It’s not confirmed whether this is actually Prince Harry or not, but Govan and Lexus have previously prank called other people of high standing, including US presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and Turkey’s president Recap Tayyip Erdogan.
