From Beyonce to Eminem to Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar, Coachella is renowned for its show-stopping lineup (…and Instagram aesthetic)

With less than six months remaining until the 2019 event, the rumour mill is already on fire with reports that Childish Gambino, Justin Timberlake, and Kanye West will headline.

According to “informed sources” close to Hits Daily Double, Gambino will serve as the Friday headliner, Timberlake will close Saturday night, and Kanye (um, we mean, ‘Ye’) will head the Sunday lineup.

While many are questioning the legitimacy of the rumour, it wouldn’t be the first time the publication got the information right.

The logic makes sense though. Hear us out…

Gambino announced last week that he was rescheduling the remaining dates of his ‘This Is America’ Tour for December after suffering a foot injury. Childish performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival the Friday before the announcement of the tour postponement was made, despite arriving to the venue in a wheelchair and leg brace.

And Timberlake, you ask? Well, the 37-year-old has just concluded his two-month stint in Europe, with the North American leg of his ‘Man of the Woods’ tour concluding on January 29, 2019.

Then there’s Kanye… Kim Kardashian recently revealed that his ‘Yandhi’ album delay would be much longer than expected.

After dropping two albums in 2018, Kanye could be ready to take his new songs on the road next year. Similarly, Timberlake and Gambino would have completed their respective tours before the 2019 Coachella dates, which supports Hits Daily Double’s report.

Whether or not the rumours are true, the festival is without a doubt going to be incredible. That’s enough of an excuse to book some cheap flights to LA, right? Cool. Thanks for the reassurance.

The 2019 Coachella festival runs over two consecutive weekends in April, beginning on Friday, April 12th.
