Rumours around Buckingham Palace suggest Queen Elizabeth II is as much of a fan of Netflix show The Crown as we all are.

But there’s one episode that may have changed her opinion.

The show is of course loosely based around the Queen’s life and reign – with Claire Foy embodying her royal highness in the two season that have aired so far.

But there is one episode which shows a young Prince Charles being bullied at school.

He is then picked up by his father Prince Phillip – who was depicted as being particularly cold and callous about the whole issue.

“She [the Queen] was upset by the way Prince Philip is depicted as being a father insensitive to his son’s wellbeing,” the source told The Express.

“She was particularly annoyed at the scene in which Philip has no sympathy for a plainly upset Charles while he is flying him home from Scotland.

“That simply did not happen.”

I mean, that’s probably fair enough. But where’s the drama and tension in that…

We wonder if she’ll keep watching when season three airs, with Olivia Colman taking the reigns as the Queen through the 60s and 70s era?
