Audiences preferred to watch Jamie’s Easy Meals For Every Day than Aussie music’s night of nights, the ARIA Awards.
Hosted by Delta Goodrem to largely-empty room at Sydney’s Star, coupled with no red carpet and most musos attending virtually, the 2-hour awards show was almost too much to ask of viewers.
The ARIAs pulled a national audience of just 287,000 – its lowest in seven years.
It was beaten by Seven’s Home and Away (550,000), Highway Patrol (461,000), ABC’s Reputation Rehab (381,00) and Jamie’s Easy Meals For Every Day on Ten (311,000).
In Perth, only 25,000 people tuned in.
Here’s hoping that in 2021, they’ll smash it out of the park.
