Network 10 and Warner Bos. have officially announced that the new season of The Bachelor Australia has suspended production amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite taking extra precautions on set during this time, they have come to the decision that it is no longer practical to continue production.

“The health and safety of our participants and crew members is our number one priority,” said Network 10 in a statement.

“These are extremely difficult times for Australians and for our industry, and the full extent of those difficulties will not be known for some time to come.”

They said that they will resume production when it is safe to do so.

The reality TV show just recently announced that Locky Gilbert from Survivor fame would be taking on the role of The Bachelor this season.

It is unknown how this will affect the timing of when the Bachelor will air on TV, which typically starts around August each year.
