When the Real Housewives of Melbourne launched in Australia in 2014, it was a massive hit with reality TV fans. As a local spin-off to the international ‘Real Housewives’ franchise, we have been introduced to multiple fancy and successful women. They’ve become friends, they’ve become enemies… and it’s been very entertaining!

After Season 4, the possibility of the show returning was up in the air, but after popular demand, we’ve been given what we’ve asked for – the housewives are back, and we have some new cast members!

For Season 5, we’ll see veterans Gina Liano, Lydia Schiavello, Janet Roach and Gamble Breaux return. A notable loss is Jackie Gillies, who has sadly pulled out of the series, as well as last season’s newbies Sally Bloomfield and Venus Behbahani.

So, who will fill their shoes? Well, SBS viewers will be familiar with one of the new cast members, former presenter Anjali Rao.

We’ll also meet Cherry Dipietrantonio, a yoga instructor originally from the UK…

And Kyla Kirkpatrick, who is known as the ‘champagne dame’ after paving her own way in the business world.

Sounds like this is going to be a very fun season, with hopefully with a sprinkle of drama. It is the Real Housewives, after all!
