One quite amazing thing that has come out of the coronavirus pandemic is the way that the whole world seems to be joining together in order to get through this tough time.
One way that that the music industry is showing their support to the world is by combining their musical talents together to release beautiful covers of songs that really resonate with how we’re feeling at this time.
And today, we’ve been treated to yet another one of these with a seriously star studded cast of artists.
The group has been put together by JP Saxe and Julia Michaels in order to support the international medical humanitarian organisation Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) in their global response to COVID-19.
They’ve brought together artists like Niall Horan, Sam Smith, Keith Urban, Kesha and more to sing their hit song ‘If The World Was Ending’, a song that was originally written by JP and Julia following the devastating earthquakes in Los Angeles last July.
All proceeds from the song and accompanying video will be donated to Doctors Without Borders.
“We are so grateful for the incredible work being done by those on the frontlines during this global pandemic. We asked some of our friends to sing this song with us to help benefit an organisation very close to our hearts, Doctors Without Borders, where all proceeds received by Sony Music and the artists from the video will be donated,” said JP and Julia.
“At a time when it can sometimes feel like ‘the world is ending,’ we thank all of the healthcare workers, first responders, and essential workers who are helping so many people in need. Please stay home, stay safe (and don’t actually go over!).”
