‘International Scotch Day’ (February 8th) should definitely be a public holiday, a GLOBAL public holiday, for everyone to put their differences aside and enjoy the nectar of the gods together as one in harmony BUT alas, sadly, it is not. It will be for me but that’s more of a “imma call in sick and drink scotch to celebrate” kind of thing (don’t stress, my boss won’t read this).

The legendary ‘Aberfeldy Distillery’, nestled in the foothills of the Central West Highlands of Scotland, have shared two delicious cocktail recipes to help us celebrate.

The Aberfeldy Gold Fashioned
Ingredients:
– 50ml Aberfeldy 12-year-old
– 5ml of Honey
– 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters
– 2 dashes of Orange Bitters
– 1 Orange zest

Method:
Add the honey, bitters and Aberfeldy 12-year-old to a mixing glass over cubed-ice and stir to dilute. Pour into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Cut and twist an orange zest expressing the oils over the drink and enjoy!

The Aberfeldy Honey Highball
Ingredients:
– 40ml Aberfeldy 12-year-old
– 20ml Honey
– Chilled Chamomile tea
– 1 Lemon slice

Pick up a bottle of Aberfeldy 12 from Dan Murphy’s, BWS, Liquorland, First Choice and anywhere else that sells quality scotch. Enjoy responsibly!
